Koh Mak

Koh Mak is a small plus shaped Island between Koh Chang and Koh Kut, about 35 km off the coast. Rubber and coconut plantations cover Koh Mak's flat interior while white sand covers its perimeter.

The Island is blessed with many fine sandy beaches. The two nicest beaches are Hat Suan Yai in the northwest and Hat Khao in the southwest. They also have most of the resorts but there are resorts all over the Island except for the far north. Many resorts deal in package stays that include round trip transportation to the Island.

Internet shops and restaurants can be found in the Ao Nid pier area to the southeast as well as in the northwest around the Ao Suan Yai pier. The road linking the two also has some shops, a couple of restaurants and a small bar.

Your resort can book you on boat tours, jeep rides and other activities. The Island also has a couple of dive outfits, restaurants, shops, tour companies and fishing charters but no real nightlife besides your resort's bar.
